Tourism Marketing Has Evolved: Here’s What You Need to Know

Tourism marketing has taken a big hit ever since the global lockdowns and massive regulations were introduced to the entire world. The travel and tourism industry has been feeling its negative effects ever since. This unfortunate reality is still continuing to recover and is in need of strong marketing efforts more than ever.

It’s not easy battling the “zoom-fluence” along with the lingering fear and hesitation felt by so many trying to get back to their pre-pandemic lives. Ramping up travel and tourism marketing is more important than ever for businesses and communities that depend heavily on it for economic stability.

Make Tourism Marketing Work for You

What are some emerging trends for tourism marketing since the pandemic? What should travel marketers address in their messaging to encourage more travel? Let’s dive in!

Here are some key items travel and tourism strategists should be aware of with their marketing efforts:

  1. Keep it simple and hassle-free – Tourism marketing is challenged now more than ever to keep things simple and easy to step back into for their prospective customers. It can be a difficult time for many travel businesses to motivate people who feel uncomfortable booking a trip or vacation. Simple and convincing brand messaging is always pivotal, but more so in order to experience economic recovery.
  1. Highlight increased quality of life –  Since the pandemic has negatively affected the quality of life for countless individuals, tourism marketing can benefit by highlighting its self-care capabilities. One angle is focusing its message on the improved mental health experienced when taking a beach vacation or other desirable travel destination.

People need to be reminded of how wonderful your locations are and how much they need to break the monotony of staying home or indoors so much. Influencing your potential customers through effective marketing tactics requires highlighting the most compelling benefits your travel seeker can expect to experience.

  1. Market the affordability factor – Unfortunately, rising prices are everywhere and it doesn’t help when people are already having to pay higher prices for everything else, including food and gas.

By highlighting your cost-effectiveness, you increase the likelihood of keeping or attracting new destination seekers. This is a huge part of the influential strategy for tourism marketing looking to recover financially and thrive moving forward.

Speak Straight to the Different Types of Travelers You Target

Your social media and other types of travel marketing efforts should all account for the different types of travelers you target; looking specifically at what they want and need in these unique times. For example, single Gen Z’ers are using different platforms than other types of individuals and may prioritize specific locations due to popular cultural influences.

However, target demographics of all types can greatly benefit from knowing what’s new in your area and how it can relieve them of the stress, depression, anxiety, and fear so much of the country has been living with since 2020.

What Makes a Successful Creative Billboard Ad?

Billboard advertising is a competition all its own. Not only for the attention and memorability of its target audience but also to stand out among all the other creative billboard ads flooding the busy streets.

How does one cut through all the noise with enticing, yet effective messaging? How do businesses avoid adding to the chaos of visual voices all vying for attention? These are good questions to ask when strategizing to launch a billboard

What’s more, this type of advertising does not run cheap. When you invest in creative and cool billboard ads, it has to be effective. Some billboard creativity hits the target, making the financial investment payoff, while others flop. Why is this?
Let’s explore these winning billboard strategies to find out.

Creative Billboard Ads and Why They Work

Simplicity

Of everything you want to say to your moving audience, narrow it down to one main message.

If you’re trying to share too much in one billboard, even if you’re trying to make it worth the money, this could easily work against you. If you approach the billboard concept confused about what you are trying to convey, chances are your audience will be just as mixed up digesting your creative messaging efforts.

However, approaching a creative advertising project with a specific intention helps you execute a successfully targeted billboard advertising message. People’s attention spans tend to shrink when faced with a sea of media messages, let alone the capacity to remember the brand and its benefits.

People don’t have much time to take their eyes off the road and focus on the details of your freeway-bound message. Perhaps this is why successful billboard advertising is typically only six words max. Or one. Or none. Whatever boosts your effectiveness in establishing your point.

Bottom line: Less is more. Less clutter, less wordy text, less unclear imagery, and more sales.

Clear Goal

If you have multiple priorities, you don’t have a priority. The same goes for goals in branding efforts using billboard ads. You need to set a clear goal and never lose sight of it throughout the strategy and implementation process.

Ask yourself:

  • Who are you targeting? Why?
  • What’s the one thing you want to accomplish through your billboard? Why?
  • What is your call to action? Why?
  • Asking the question ‘why?’ forces you to dig deeper every time you ask it. In doing so, it reveals more of what’s beneath the surface and will help you get crystal clear on your intentions and how you will measure success.

Here are some examples of common goals businesses of cool billboard ads:

  • Raise brand awareness
  • Raise awareness about a promotion or sale
  • Marketing a specific product or service
  • Get more customers in person or online
  • Generating interest in your brand

Bottom line: Set a clear goal and know why.

Determine Effectiveness

Don’t confuse creativity with effectiveness. Unfortunately, the most elaborate and quirky, creative ads don’t always translate to sales or brand awareness, or any of the other goals you have in mind. That is why you must always keep your goals center stage.

You need to thoughtfully consider whether or not the text and visual strategy in place are going to support your anticipated outcome. After all, what good is it to have an over-the-top billboard and people miss the point or worse — mistake it for another business.

Bottom line: Funny, punchy, and creative are nice; but does it reach your goal?

What is the Difference Between UX and UI Design?

Websites, mobile apps, and smart home devices. Oh my! Utilizing your business’s digital presence in the most effective way is becoming more important every day. UX and UI design are at the forefront of successful technology integration. But what are these and how do they make your business’s digital interface a web-site for sore eyes?

As one of the top ad agencies in Arizona, ON Advertising is the go-to for quality services that put your business front and center of your customers. When you work with us, you’re not just receiving our creative minds and collective experience, you’re gaining a valuable partnership to increase ROI. Read our article below to learn how UX and UI design make your message stronger.

What is UI?

User Interface is the point of interaction between the user and a digital device or site. When it comes to designing a website, app, or ordering kiosk, UI considers every visual, functional, and interactive element that might be a part of a digital platform. A UI designer will think about icons, buttons, typography, color schemes, spacing, imagery, and responsive design. An effective user interface transfers the brand’s visual appeal into a digital format in a way that is consistent, coherent, and appealing.

What is UX?

User Experience or “UX” is the icing on the cake of great UI design. UX considers the customer’s needs above all else and ensures that the company creates a digital interface that meets those needs when and how the customer expects. A UX designer designs an experience, not just an interaction. They operate under the idea that any interface is always centered around the human being behind the screen. UX design includes:

  • Understanding Users: UX design requires research to understand the target audience.
  • Design Strategy: Develop the sequence of actions users take as they interact with the interface.
  • Analyzing Designs: UX continues even after a digital interface is launched by analyzing how people interact with the platform.

UX vs. UI

UX and UI constitute separate processes that each require separate tasks and understanding in order to achieve the most constructive design. A good way to compare the differences is that UX is the framework on which UI is built. UX measures and optimizes to support functionality. UI is the cosmetics and presentation that are generated based on the UX recommendations.

Combining UX and UI Design

In the case of website design, UX and UI complement each other and make each other stronger. If your website has great UI, it might look appealing but be difficult to use. A website design with great UX might be simple to use, but terrible to look at. When it comes to your business’s online presence, having both is crucial to standing out amongst your competitors.

For example, your new site just launched selling state-of-the-art sneakers. The text is easy to read, the color scheme is on-point, and the buttons are far enough apart that customers don’t tap the wrong shoes by mistake. That is UI. UX guarantees that the customer can search through their options and when they find the perfect pair, they can easily navigate to the checkout.

5 Grand Opening Ideas That Put Retailers in the Spotlight

Opening a business is one of the most exhilarating, yet nerve-wracking, experiences for any business owner. You repeatedly ask yourself, how are you going to attract customers to your business and how are you going to retain them? Well, one way you can achieve this is by introducing your target market to your business with a grand opening event. But, what exactly does that entail?

ON Advertising is one of Arizona’s top full-service marketing agencies whose services range from advertising and digital marketing to public relations and video production. We handle almost every aspect of your marketing strategy to ensure your business is front and center of your target audience. Our event planning team has helped hundreds of businesses turn grand opening ideas into reality. Read our blog post below to learn about some ideas that will help put your retail store on the map.

Offer a Pop-Up Experience

One way you can attract attention towards your business is to offer a nearby pop-up experience for your grand opening. Consider planning something special to get your name out there. You may even use brand ambassadors to hand out flyers to your target audience in a place where they frequent. Seeing and taking part in an experience in-person offers a better chance for people to recall your business when they require your products.

Hand Out Some Swag at Your Grand Opening

Surely, you have one or two shirts hanging in the closet from a business trying to get their name out there. You probably have more branded pencils than you can even count. Offering swag to prospective customers is an excellent way to entice people to check out your store because who doesn’t like free stuff? People are attracted to it like a magnet. Moreover, they will have an easier time remembering your business as they use your pencils, comb through their closet, or use your tote bag for groceries.

Get Neighboring Businesses Involved in Your Grand Opening

Another way you can attract customers to your store is by getting nearby businesses involved in your opening festivities. You can invite them to come to your event and offer extra discounts and incentives for visiting. For example, perhaps the employees of another business can get 10% off their first purchase if they shop with you. Additionally, building a strong bond with neighboring businesses can help lead to strong marketing opportunities to push your business even further.

Promote Your Grand Opening on Social Media

Let’s face it, everyone is on social media. This means your business needs a presence there too. Creating an event page or posting on social media about your event is a great way to attract customers to your website and grand opening event. It’s a relatively easy thing to do, with lots of potential for attracting your target audience. Users who respond to your event page can even help you determine how many people you might expect at your event.

Incorporate Live Music on Your Big Day

People are attracted to music, and booking a band to perform at your grand opening event can be a great way to increase awareness. It also creates great background noise and gives attendees something to watch as they take a break from shopping. Not to mention it’s much like your partnership with neighboring businesses, where you both promote one another to increase your brand exposure.

Our team has been involved in just about every type of event imaginable. We’ve assisted in small networking events to large grand opening celebrations. We develop strategies and concepts from scratch to ensure your event runs smoothly and your goals are met. Contact us today and learn how our event planning team can assist in your events.

A row of white pills highlighting advertising in healthcare

What Goes Into Advertising in Healthcare?

The healthcare industry is one of the most important industries in the world. It’s also one of the most competitive with so many different services available across practitioners. It can be difficult to set your business apart from the rest, but enlisting in the services of a marketing agency is a sure-fire way to reach the public.

ON Advertising is one of Arizona’s top advertising agencies with experience in getting the results our clients require. We work with a wide range of businesses, including those in healthcare, hospitality, restaurants, CBD, financial services, and many more. We’re the go-to for quality services and a partnership with us leads to exciting new opportunities. Read our blog post below to learn what goes into advertising in healthcare.

The Impact Advertising Has on Healthcare

Because of its specificity, healthcare marketing is a very unique field of our industry because it uses certain concepts, methods, and techniques specific to both traditional and social marketing. Marketing strategies play an important role in helping medical professionals create, communicate, and provide value to their target market through strong education, empathy, and accessibility for the public at large.

Additionally, it’s up to us to ensure prospective patients know the potential benefits of choosing your practice. Oftentimes, this involves considering patients’ attitudes, judgments, and preferences towards certain brands and procedures. Your marketing partner will determine the best course of action that will resonate with your target patients.

Planning Your Healthcare Marketing Strategy

Use Consistent Healthcare Branding

Just like with any other marketing strategy, having consistent branding is vital to differentiate yourself from your competitors. Creating a brand tone of voice that is uniquely yours will ensure people quickly identify your marketing when they see it. When developing your brand, you need to consider a few things:

  • What is unique about your services?
  • What are your services?
  • What are your competitors doing for their brand?
  • What kind of environment are you trying to create for your patients?

These are just a select few questions you should be asking yourself when developing your brand. Your marketing agency will conduct extensive research to determine the behavior of your target market and develop an action plan for your branding to attract these individuals.

Have a Strong Digital Presence

Today’s digital-reliant consumers expect every business to have some sort of online presence. And that same mentality goes for medical providers. This isn’t just a simple website launch, it involves much more than that, including:

  • Social media
  • Google Ads
  • Email marketing
  • Influencer marketing
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • And many more

Having helped our healthcare clients reach their target market, ON Advertising is strong in all areas of digital marketing. One of the greatest advantages to adopting a digital presence is the ability to pinpoint exactly who and where you’d like to market yourself. We’re very fortunate enough to have the tools and resources to identify, implement, and manage digital marketing activities to reach your target audience.

Understand the FTC’s Role and Regulations for Healthcare Advertising

According to JDSUPRA, keeping patients well informed is a core principle of American healthcare policy, and marketing plays a vital role in getting information out to the public. However, advertising is strongly enforced by the FTC to protect the public from deceptive practices. They created a three-part standard for the determination of a deceptive ad, which includes:

  • The representation must mislead or be likely to mislead the consumer;
  • The consumer’s interpretation must be reasonable under the circumstances; and
  • The misleading misrepresentation, omission, or practice must be material.

The FTC has also created guidelines relating to the substantiation of claims and consumer endorsements; something very relevant in this area of marketing.

A smartphone lying on a table to highlight advertising in mobile apps

Advertising in Mobile Apps is the Future

As marketers, we must promote businesses where consumers go, and right now it’s their smartphones. Between the streaming services, social media accounts, and easy access to eCommerce sites, it comes as no surprise. That’s why many marketing strategies incorporate advertising in mobile apps as it gets eyes on your brand from a wide audience. But, what does mobile app advertising entail and what can it mean for your business? Where do you even get started?

ON Advertising is one of the best advertising agencies in Phoenix, Arizona. We’re experts in finding solutions and obtaining results that ensure your business secures an increase in ROI. One way we achieve this is by developing a strong marketing strategy that makes sure your brand is front and center of your target audience. Read our blog post below to learn how advertising in mobile apps can be the key to unlocking a new level of branding.

Advertise Where the People Are

According to Insider Intelligence, U.S. adults spend an average of 3 hours and 35 minutes per day on mobile devices. The top leading activities in apps include digital audio, social networking, video streaming, gaming, and messaging. With the growing popularity of eCommerce, people are only becoming more reliant on their smartphones. But what does this mean for advertising in mobile apps?

It’s simple. It’s making it easier for people to promote their businesses to a wide range of consumers. Thanks to the countless amounts of data available online, it’s even made our job easier in identifying, strategizing, and implementing a marketing plan that ensures your business is seen by your target audience.

How Does Advertising in Mobile Apps Work?

When you decide to launch mobile app advertising, there are a few steps you must take to get started. Such as:

  1. Choose an Ad Network: Mobile app ad networks act as the middleman by connecting publishers with advertisers. To launch a successful campaign, you need to consider many things like who you want to reach, where they are, and what your advertising goals are
  2. Select Your In-App Ad Format: There are 5 different ad formats you typically see in mobile advertising. There’s the banner, interstitial, native, video, offer-wall, and playable and rewarded ads
  3. Select an Ad Pricing Model: There are several different pricing models for mobile app advertising campaigns: Cost-Per-Mille (CPM), Cost-Per-Click (CPC), and Cost-Per-Action (CPA).

What is the Difference Between Mobile Advertising Pricing Models?

Cost-Per-Mille (CPM)

The CPM is a format in which the advertiser pays the publisher every 1,000 times an ad is displayed. This is particularly beneficial for app publishers since an ad will only be shown to generate revenue.

Cost-Per-Click (CPC)

The CPC model is one where the advertiser only pays when their ad is clicked. This is the most popular model as advertisers won’t pay anything for an ad that doesn’t generate a lot of clicks.

Cost-Per-Action (CPA)

With a CPA model, advertisers only pay for clicks that lead to a specific action. This might include an app install, a form submission, registration, or newsletter signup. It’s a low-risk option for professionals since they’ll only pay for specific outcomes.

Advertising in Mobile Apps Leads to Better Targeting

In-app advertising is displayed in the context of the app, which means they’re usually more natural than ads seen in a browser. Additionally, many apps can be made to be interactive and be chosen to display at certain points during an in-app experience. But, what’s even more important is its ability to target very specific consumers.

Advertisers are able to achieve this by pulling direct demographics and geo-location data. This allows us to analyze and determine if particular apps are a good fit for your marketing strategy. Additionally, this detailed view enables us to fine-tune our strategy to ensure we’re not wasting your time and money on an audience who wouldn’t engage with your ad.

Advertising in Mobile Apps is Going to Get a Boost With 5G

5G-enabled smartphones are one of the biggest innovations hitting the market. By 2023, global 5G smartphone shipments are expected to exceed 424 million. This means many smartphone users are going to experience improvements in their mobile experience, such as high-definition media and greater interactive technology. These developments open a wealth of new opportunities for advertisers, giving them more room for creative solutions and even more engaging in-app ads.

Why Should You Have Marketing in Your Business?

Marketing isn’t just a part of your business – it is your business. Almost every aspect of your business depends on your marketing strategy. Why? Because everything you do revolves around sales and marketing leads to more of it. Marketing is a powerful tool that ensures consumers have their eyes on your brand and products. With a well-developed strategy, you can grow your business even further.

As one of the top ad agencies in Arizona, ON Advertising is the go-to for quality services that put your business front and center of your competition. When you work with us, you’re not just receiving our creative minds and collective experience, you’re gaining a valuable partnership to increase ROI. Read our article below to learn why you should adopt marketing into your business.

What is Marketing?

The term “marketing” is very broad as it can pertain to a lot of activities like media buying, advertising, social media, branding, public relations, and so much more. However, the overarching goal is the same – bring consumer attention to your business. This leads to awareness, brand loyalty, and most importantly, sales.

Identifies Consumer Needs

Not only does marketing determine consumer needs, but it also creates consumer needs. Why should they buy from you? What sets you apart from your competition? As advertising professionals, it is our job to tell people the when, why, and how they can engage with your business. Oftentimes, this involves playing to their consumer needs.

For instance, if you’re a restaurant owner who specializes in Mexican cuisine, how can you differentiate yourself from your competitors? There are several routes you can go; you use fresh ingredients, you’re authentic, you’re close to a major attraction, etc. What about offering vegetarian options?

Before fast-food chains brought Impossible Meat to their menus, Taco Bell was a hidden gem for vegetarian eaters. It gained many loyal customers because they were able to customize their menu items to fit their vegetarian diet. Thanks to its internal marketing team’s research, the fast-food chain found an opportunity to answer consumers’ need for vegetarian options by adding them to their menu. They partnered with American Vegetarian Association (AVA) to have the new menu items vegetarian-certified. This has been a huge differentiator from their competitors and boosts their brand image.

Marketing Professionals Can Help Identify the Ideal Customer

To attract customers, you need to know who you are selling to. Part of a marketer’s job is to help you identify target audiences to ensure your brand attracts your ideal consumer. One way that ON Advertising achieves this is by developing consumer profiles. This involves extensive research into key demographics to ensure your messaging influences a reaction from the target customer.

When we develop these profiles, we look at a few things like:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Hobbies
  • Location
  • Income
  • Goals or motivation

Everyone is Going Digital, So Should You

According to Optinmonster, the global online shopping market size nearly hit $4 trillion in 2020, with $300 million in the United States alone. While traditional marketing still plays an integral role in attracting business, digital marketing has one of the biggest impacts on today’s consumers.

Your customers are online, and you should be too. ON Advertising offers comprehensive digital services to ensure your presence is known by your target audience. This may involve a social media strategy, digital advertising, content development, and website design.

Darren Higgs, ON Advertising’s VP of Marketing explains, “The essence behind any effective marketing strategy is to understand our customers’ audience. The advantage of hiring an advertising agency is the ability to use tools to analyze audience intelligence. If you identify your audience’s biggest source of influence, and how they live day to day, then you can create new opportunities for your marketing and advertising efforts.”

ON Advertising is Arizona’s Choice for Marketing Strategy

Every business needs some sort of marketing. It’s an incredible tool that leads to greater sales, customer loyalty, and a brighter brand image. The ON Advertising team working at their desks inside the ad agency office

What It’s Like To Work At An Ad Agency

If you’ve ever seen Mad Men, you might have wondered to yourself, “Is that what it’s like to work at an ad agency?”. As an Account Coordinator, I can tell you it’s not all whiskey and parties (as much as we wish it were). Instead, the ON Advertising team focuses on creative strategies to grow our clients’ marketing and sales goals. To do so, the agency has designed its infrastructure and culture to support client goals and our employees’ professional growth.

A Close-Knit Phoenix Ad Agency

If you walk into our office, you will notice that our Account Services team are all located in the “bullpen”. The bullpen is an open floor plan with each desk in close proximity to each other, although positioned at least six feet apart.  Not only does this create room for comfortable furniture and amenities, but it also allows us to engage with one another. Since my first day as an Account Coordinator, I’ve noticed how as an ad agency, it’s important to work together as a team rather than working in a silo. Over time, professional bonds are developed thanks to the bullpen design. Furthermore, it provides the Account Services team a chance to collaborate and share ideas on projects.

Most of the best ad agencies have creative departments. Our creative team members have their own offices for privacy, however, open doors are common to encourage continued communication.

What is Team Building and What Does It Look Like for an Ad Agency?

Studies have shown that having fun is beneficial for company culture and employee productivity. It motivates an ad agency team to do their best work when the company offers them time where they can relax and have fun. In other words, when a team feels the best, their clients get the best.

At ON Advertising, we work to promote a healthy work environment and look forward to our quarterly team outings. In the past, we’ve attended several baseball games, enjoyed an escape room, and swung our clubs at TopGolf. Even though the country is in the middle of a health crisis, we still took the time to play board games in our office.

Professional Development

Advertising is an extremely competitive, constantly evolving industry that leverages its resources and talents to meet its client’s needs. The sole purpose of partnering with an advertising agency is for us to act as the middleman to ensure your brand resonates with your target audience. According to HubSpot, it’s not uncommon for advertising agencies to create mentorship opportunities, cross-train their employees, and create a standard onboarding process.

To assure we are providing our clients with the best services, we’ve integrated many professional development aspects into our ad agency. Phoenix Business Journal reports that professional development is key to a company’s success. It allows employees to grow as professionals, and their expertise will show in the work they do for their clients. When I started as the Account Coordinator, I was shown how to write an SEO-friendly blog post, how to write social media posts, and how to conduct keyword research.

Recently, we attended the Digital Summit at Home, where we’ve gained a greater understanding of new digital strategies that we can provide to our clients. We even gained more resources that we’re excited to integrate into our client’s online strategies. As I write this blog post, I am brainstorming ideas with one of the Account Executives on how we can use this newfound information with our clients. Furthermore, I’ve personally undertaken my own training to become proficient in all things Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro so I can make more stylish social media and video blog posts.

Make ON Advertising YOUR Phoenix Advertising Agency

All of this leads to an efficient agency. I may be biased, but I believe ON Advertising is one of the best ad agencies to work for.  For over 25 years, we have provided creative ideas and expert understanding of our clients’ marketing and advertising efforts. We understand how people think, behave, and make decisions that impact their businesses. Contact us to speak with one of our experts to begin your marketing journey.

Service Spotlight: Email Marketing

At ON Advertising, we recognize the power of digital media in marketing today. And our mission is to help you control the conversation around your business. How? By turning general prospects into highly-qualified sales leads and actually measuring the return on your investment through email marketing.

To do this, we work to make our expert email marketing services work for you. Within our extensive services, we specialize in email marketing, which is another tactic that makes up a much wider marketing strategy. The goal is to move prospects through the sales funnel and truly deliver the right message, to the right audience, at the right time.

Here’s how we apply our knowledge of email marketing for the maximum effect on your messaging.

Email Marketing

Our email marketing services scope of work includes copywriting, list building, email campaign setup and deployment, email automation, custom integrations, programming, and a whole lot more. But each component we incorporate is just as important as the last. Because it’s all about crafting a conversation that turns prospects into an actual lead in terms of sales.

Full Service Campaign Management:

According to Statista, roughly 294 billion emails were sent in 2019; and they predict that up to 306.4 billion will be sent in 2020. This oversaturation of emails in inboxes means one thing: you have to stand out from the rest. From campaign strategy creation to execution, ON Advertising performs the full service campaign management that a successful email marketing campaign deserves.

Strategic Planning and Assessment:

The most important part of email marketing is getting users to actually open them, read them, and further: take action on your eblast. At ON Advertising, this starts with determining what exactly is the goal of the email we’re creating. From there, we can further define our audience and how we can best appeal to them. This includes everything from the design of the email itself, all the way to the copywriting that leads them to your call to action.

Building Email Marketing Databases:

In order to have a strong email marketing campaign, it needs to stand the test of time. Because things move fast and we have to adapt, you must build a database of visitors. And those visitors need to keep coming back. By gathering an audience of users that want to receive your updates, you can create a list of loyal followers – something often thought of as reserved only for social media platforms. Our team grows our lists organically, utilizing strong calls to action that are personalized for our clients. This helps to get them to subscribe to campaigns to develop these vital lists.

Email Design and Template Production:

Coming up with ideas that spark interest and employing creativity that demands attention is what we do. And the best strategies are ones that blend design and copy for the strongest presentation of information possible! Our strategy for creating enticing, eye-catching emails is having an attention grabbing subject, graphics, and concise yet informative text. We can also customize the template and further personalize it by inserting individuals’ names.

Email Message Writing:

Once we create a beautiful template to grab the attention of your subscribers, we integrate text that explains why users should stay, and what they’re there for. And that includes creating an intriguing subject line, down to a clear call to action. Our experience has shown us that simple copy with a salesy undertone works best at keeping the attention of readers, ultimately leading to a sales lead.

Email Deployment and Management:

Nothing can hinder the potential of an email marketing campaign like having a professional email service. Some email platforms are recognizable by spam filters, which can cause campaigns to lose reach potential. Having a platform that negates spam filters will result in higher open and clicks. At ON Advertising, we use iContact, which offers scheduling, deployment, gathering click data, A/B testing, creating well-timed message sending, and email filters for increased open rates.

Email List Maintenance:

Over time, the activeness of users within email lists changes. Subscribers may change emails or simply stop opening them, leading to inactive followers on your list. By performing email list maintenance, like checking for dead emails, adding new emails to the list, and avoiding spam filters, we maintain an accurate picture of your audience represented by data.

Triggered Email Campaigns:

Triggered campaigns are a way of sending emails based on their interactions. For example, if an individual opens a welcome email after subscribing and interacts with a link within, that can then trigger them to receive a follow-up email about that subject. And it can even be sent at a specific time, targeting the right message to the right audience. At ON, we utilize this to further differentiate what audiences are interested in, and to enhance the email marketing campaigns.

Drip Campaigns:

Also known as an autoresponder, according to HubSpot, drip campaigns are an email series automatically sent to a visitor’s inbox after being triggered by an event. This is essentially subscribing them to your emails once they’ve completed an action on your website page. And this could include actions like downloading a resource or purposefully subscribing to your newsletter. Unlike Triggered Email Campaigns, messages have a set course of timing and arrival. Interestingly enough, most marketers are now evolving beyond drip campaigns and pivoting to trigger-based campaigns. Why? Trigger campaigns are more customized or completely personalized based on the target user’s behavior.

At ON Advertising, we set drip campaigns apart by having informative yet concise information, retaining the right target audience, and having appropriate call to actions to a landing page on the website. We can also create custom graphics and video to enhance visibility and capture subscribers attention.
